Pause

Oh….. it’s been quite a while since my last post. Turns out it’s not that easy to manage ones free time and studies…. Well at least for me. So in order to make up for it, I decided to make a BIG post… well  bigger than my usual ones… a bit.
I did mention that I was working on a group of drawings that I’ll be using as a slideshow for my desktop. It kind of builds up to a rough storyboard for an animation. Would be awesome if I could actually turn it in to one…but yeah… that won’t be any time soon I suppose. Any ways, it was inspired by a short animated film, I can’t remember it’s title though, but the story is about a little tiger, that finds a seed in the beginning of winter and tries to keep it warm. Later it became a huge sun flower that brought the tiger shelter next winter. Isn’t that cute? *makes dumb face trying to handle the cuteness* So, I decided to use the idea for a series of drawings. Why not?
The only cute character I thought of at the moment was a plump little dinosaur thing, which was named Cupcake by one of my former classmates (that’s not really its’ name… but I don’t have another one for it yet…meh).
I’ve only completed half of the drawings I have sketched, more or less. The oddest thing is that the dinosaur thing started to gain a different look in each drawing. Heh… happens. I decided not to edit them and see how he evolves, so to speak.
This first part, that I’ll be posting, begins with autumn and ends with spring.

So that’s that for now. I’ll try to make the next post in a few days instead of a few weeks.

Sketches

During this little break of mine, I started to browse some of my old sketch books and man was it fun to remember that during the lessons in school I spent most of the time sketching away. Time well spent I guess. Even though they are just some random doodles from ideas that just came first to mind. Thought I’d show a few of ‘em :

Some just begged to be colored or redrawn in to bigger illustrations :

Well, that’ll be enough sketches for one post
